Romania joins EURAF!
We are delighted to welcome our Romanian colleagues, represented by the League of Associations of Agricultural Producers from Romania (Liga Asociațiilor Producătorilor Agricoli din România) – LAPAR, as a new member of EURAF.
LAPAR was established in 2001 and is a national federation of agricultural producer associations in Romania. The organisation’s mission is to represent and promote the interests of Romanian agricultural producers, both domestically and internationally. LAPAR works to improve the economic and social conditions of Romanian farmers, and to promote sustainable agricultural practices. More recently, LAPAR got involved in EU research projects and is also working on the management of agroforestry and the potential implementation of new systems that can benefit Romanian agriculture and the environment.
Romania, which has one of the largest agriculture areas in Europe, can play a crucial role in contributing to the EU’s goals for sustainable and environmentally friendly food production. Watch this space for more news on agroforestry in Romania!
