Agroforestry policy workshop November 9th, Vienna
On the 9th of November 2023 the first Central European agroforestry policy exchange took place. It was titled Agroforestry Policies in the EU: obstacles and solutions and attracted around 30 people who are working in the field of agroforestry.
Representatives from Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Austria presented the current state of agroforestry in their respective countries and gave insights to policy challenges and potential solutions. Consequently, common issues such as sound CAP definitions could be found, but it was also obvious that each country has a very different state of development.
As a result, the participating agroforestry associations agreed to work closer together in order to exchange knowledge and experience.
More details about the presentations and conclusions of the event will be shared soon.
